Youth Ministry Conferences

A big thank you to Dr Julia Sadusky!
Over the course of two weeks Dr Julia was with us speaking on the intersection of our faith, gender and sexuality. She kicked off her visit speaking to a whole staff inset at St Thomas Aquinas. Dr. Julia led our Clergy Conference, filmed some excellent content for our Quo Vadis programmes which will be coming to you soon…She spoke with some of our incredible Young Adults at St Catherine of Sienna, Theology on Tap style with wine, cheese AND pizza! She then journeyed to Alton Castle to speak with our Mission Team volunteers, joined by some special visitors from the Briars. She also taught some of our amazing parish leaders at the Youth Ministry Conference and led some of our fabulous school staff at the DES conference in the beautiful Oscott College. We are extremely grateful for the words of wisdom and time Dr Julia spent with us and are continuing to pray for her as she continues her incredible work!

Jubilee of Saint Francis of Assisi
10th Jan 2026 - 10th Jan 2027

Pope Leo announced the commencement of the Jubilee of Saint Francis of Assisi on the 7th January 2026, marking the 800th year since the saints death in 1226.

Pope Leo believes Saint Francis offered a powerful model for Christian renewal in times of social change and moral uncertainty. By highlighting Francis’ simple Gospel life, we are encouraged to enter into deeper conversion, compassion for the poor, and a renewed sense of responsibility towards both society and creation.

The Holy Year therefore serves not only as a commemoration, but as a call for the Church to rediscover authentic Christian joy, discipleship and mission through the example of Saint Francis.
